SpearCal (“we”, “us”), a product of Blue Mine, LLC, provides a mobile app that estimates the nutritional content of meals from photos. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can control it.

What we collect

  • Account data: email address, and authentication identifiers.
  • Health & fitness data you provide: age, sex, height, body weight (including your weigh-in history), activity level, and dietary goals.
  • Meal data: photos of meals you choose to scan, and the food items, portions, calories, macronutrients, and micronutrients derived from them (either by our AI provider or that you enter manually).
  • Workout and protocol data: exercises, sessions, templates, and protocol schedules and logs you create.
  • Subscription data: purchase/entitlement status from the App Store or Google Play, managed via RevenueCat (we do not receive your payment card details).
  • Diagnostic data: basic crash/error logs.

How we use it

  • To calculate your personalized calorie and macro goals.
  • To analyze meal photos and estimate nutrition (see “Third parties” below).
  • To show your diary, workouts, protocols, progress trends, and micronutrient summaries.
  • To manage your subscription and entitlements.
  • We do not sell your personal data.

Third parties who process your data

Data retention

  • Meal photos are retained until you delete the meal / deleted automatically after analysis — CHOOSE ONE AND IMPLEMENT ACCORDINGLY.
  • Account, meal, workout, and protocol records are kept until you delete your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account, which permanently removes your profile, meals, meal photos, and weight history.

Your rights

Depending on your location (e.g. GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, use the in-app deletion tool or contact us through the Support form.

This app provides estimates for informational purposes only. It is not medical, nutritional, or weight-loss advice. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making dietary changes, especially if you have a medical condition.

Children

This app is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you in-app.
